Connect Studios, Parramatta

Connect Studios provides rehearsal and workshop venue and facilities for emerging and established live and digital performance artists and organisations in western Sydney area, and for those interested in working in Parramatta and Sydneys west.

Principally, Connect Studios is for the professional and career development of performance and associated artists who live in Parramatta and western Sydney or who have a interest and commitment in exploring performance in Sydneys Greater West. Studios may be used for rehearsals, workshops, classes, master classes, forums, reading, demonstrations, residencies and activities that develop the practice of live and digital performance and complementary art forms.

Brand X (formerly Queen Street Studios)

Brand X (formerly Queen Street Studio) is a not for profit arts organisation run by artists for artists and is governed by a Board of Management made up of industry peers

With thanks to Arts NSW, Brand X offers a Performing Arts Residency Program that provides free studio workspace for Sydney-based performing artists in their new rehearsal facility at L3 Central. The residencies vary from one-week to four-weeks in length, with 6 residencies up for grabs.

Mentorships and Residencies - Blacktown Arts Centre

Blacktown Arts Centre offers Aboriginal Performing Arts Residency and Performing Arts Residency Programs. The Blacktown Arts Centre Performing Arts Residency Program is annual and aims to provide professional development opportunities for individuals or small groups of artists in the development, experimentation and mentorship of new works.

Training, Research and Development Centres - Critical Path

Critical Path deliver a program of research opportunities which promote innovation by creating opportunities for choreographers to explore new ways of working, develop new networks and engage in debate and critical appreciation of dance. Best practice in artistic research is incorporated into a diverse program which features a two strand model of Facilitated and Responsive Programs.

Parramatta City Council offers arts grants for professional projects and mentoring.

Arts NSW

Arts NSW is the NSW Government’s arts and culture policy and development body. We provide support to artists and key arts and cultural organisations through our infrastructure and funding programs, and targeted strategies. Throughout our activities we work collaboratively with the NSW cultural institutions, the arts and cultural sector and partners within government.

The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body. We support Australia’s arts through funding, strengthening and developing the arts sector. We collaborate to build new audiences, foster philanthropic support and deepen our understanding of the arts through research.
