AUSDANCE TILL DUSK

Ausdance NSW celebrated International Dance Day in an exciting new way this year, seeing a larger-than-life festival settle in Sydney’s iconic Martin Place.

International Dance Day is one of joy and celebration within our community as dance is an incredible art form that can inspire and support connection, creation, and storytelling. Ausdance NSW aimed to highlight the diverse contribution that dance has made to the creative landscape by hosting the multicultural festival that saw performances by over 400 students, professional artists and community members.

“I was excited to present the first year of Ausdance Till Dusk, an exhilarating dance festival that brought together the dance community and broader public to celebrate the creative and diverse artistry of NSW performers, students and organisations. What could be better than to celebrate on International Dance Day?”. Marie Soghomonian, Executive Director Ausdance NSW.

“The Ausdance Till Dusk Festival was a phenomenal celebration of dance in all its forms. I was a volunteer on the day of the festival and it was so amazing and heart warming to be within the excitement of the performers as they came on and off stage. Each performance was unique and different from the next, but ultimately unified by the love of dance thanks to this fantastic event from Ausdance NSW!” Izabella Olah-Jewell.
